Career Opportunities

All positions require applicants to be 21 years of age, have a valid IL driver's license, and meet DCFS eligibility to transport clients.

Cook

Preparation of meals that are stated on the daily menus as nutritionally and aesthetically as possible. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Dean of Students

In conjunction with the administration and multi-disciplinary team, supervises, designs and implements a therapeutic behavioral management program for student to improve behavior skills and facilitate behavior change for re-entry back into the regular program and into the community. Ensures that incident reports are correctly completed, turned in on time, copied and circulated to all appropriate staff. Ensure that intervention staff keeps records of individual student referrals to intervention, reasons for referral and the staff making referrals. Must have Bachelors Degree and 2 years of relevant experience. Must maintain current substitute teacher certification.

Educational Behaviorist

Provides direct care services to students through general supervision, modeling appropriate social skills, and working knowledge of the agency and individual behavior management plans. Will also be responsible for recreational activities, report writing and records management, and helping to oversee certain aspects of daily living and instruction for students. Must have a Bachelor of Social Work degree or Bachelor in Education with a LBS1 in Special Education.

On-call Therapist

Provides crisis intervention and assessment for hospitalization, interface with Group Home and SASS. Compensation includes an hourly rate for times spent on-sit and during hospitalizations plus a smaller stipend for on-call hours when not on site. No benefits and must live within 30 minutes of Elgin, IL.
Masters in Social work or Counseling required. State licensure not required.

Senior Accountant

Prepares reports, analyses and data entry tasks as assigned. This position backs up Controller, assists in maintenance of general ledger and prepares month end budget reports. Must have knowledge and administration of accounting policies and procedures, and experience in processing payroll. Must have BS in Accounting plus 5 years of accounting experience. Part-Time, 24 hours per week. Temporary, contractual position.

Team Counselor

Responsible for supervision of unit children at all times, distribution of medication and recording all medical difficulties.  Plan and supervise all social activities.  Keep a log of each child’s behavior.  Must have High School diploma or GED.  Prefer Bachelor's degree or 5 years related experience.  College - Full time, days.
Highland - Full time, days.
